5 Things I'm Thankful For #18

It's Monday.

Starting my week right by being positive, and grateful. :)

1. 7 Habits. With only more than a month with the Company, I have been to two informative and productive trainings already. Keep 'em coming!

2. Contests and Prizes. I won again. Thank you Cebu Pacific and Greenwich for your twitter contests. Follow them and who knows, you might win a prize, too. :)

3. Scramble. For serving as my dinner last night, when there was no other thing to eat. :p

4. Cebu Pacific. For making my life stressful, once again. Believe it or not, this is a positive thing. Our clients, watch out because I'll launch this project within one month. :)

While we were in GB5 yesterday, the boyfriend pulled me towards his dream conquests, watches.

BF: Tignan ko lang un mga pangarap ko.

ME: Pag nanalo ako sa lotto, bibili kita nyan. Sige, turo mo un pangarap mo.

Then he pointed at me.

Being the slow person that I am, I didn't get it agad.

When I realized what he meant, I just smiled and blushed.

TV Series, etc.

Are you watching the TV Series I've been following for quite some time now?


Here is a list of shows I've been religiously downloading (Thanks, eztv) every week.


Grey's Anatomy. Gossip Girl. Glee. CSI. CSI NY. CSI Miami. The Good Wife. Better With You. Vampire Diaries. The Walking Dead. White Collar. Nikita. Pretty Little Liars. Episodes. Fringe. Desperate Housewives. Parenthood. Modern Family.


Among all these TV shows, only a few of these are enjoyable. I am not sure what is happening to some of these shows, but some are making me bored to death.


I am still enjoying Grey's because of the weird patients and cases. This is also the reason why I still love Fringe.


Gossip Girl makes me skip some scenes and urges me to press forward. I love the Dan-Blair angle, but why does it have to be about Serena all the time? Parang Pinoy teleserye na, lahat na ng not-so-good things, nangyari na sa kanya.


All CSI episodes are still enjoyable for me, love the different crime scenes.


The Good Wife is awesome. Courtroom scenes should be like this, seems fun.


Better With You and White Collar are really good. I love the characters!


Pretty Little Liars is getting more exciting, seems to be moving away from the actual book plot, but really great still. Love the fashion sense of these teens, though they seem to dress up more like college girls.


Modern Family is really funny. I love it when Alex shows her smart-ness, especially when she makes fun of Haley. :)


Desperate Housewives seem to be trying to extend their plot, better think of other characters and plots to show.

Cake Pops!

My current sweet obsession.

If it's only my 2nd day of eating this, can I call it obsession already?

Uhmm, I plan to eat it as long as it is offered in Starbucks.

Travel, anyone?

In January, we went to Boracay for an after-wedding getaway. (Not our wedding, FYI.)

Come February, the Valentines weekend, with my best couple friend, we went to Puerto Galera.

December pa lang, I already have my 2011 all planned out. Well, at least for some months.

We were booked for Singapore in June. And around Feb, we booked for another Boracay trip in November.

I told X that those trips were enough already for 2011. "Quota na tayo!"

Then I just have to prove myself wrong. Hahaha!

I read somewhere that PAL had a promo for all domestic destinations. Just for today, March 15.

Without thinking that I might be able to find a good deal, I searched for a Davao flight.

Whew! I don't know if it was great that I saw a roundtrip flight worth roughly Php2000, or was it bad because I haven't even started saving for Singapore yet and here comes another trip.

Well, I booked it. Davao, see you in August. :)

What's up with the promo fares? PAL & Cebu Pacific, stop lowering the airfares because my savings can't take it anymore! Hahaha!

5 Things I'm Thankful For #17

It's been more than a week since I last post an entry here.

So, for a no-brainer, here's my list.

1. Work. Been busy for the past few days. Still have to be thankful that I have work. I wouldn't want to be without a job, right? :)

2. T. For the help in analyzing my problem the other week. Well, at least for the attempt to analyze. We over-analyzed. :p

3. Work again. I feel more confident with the responsibilities thrown at me. I love it that my boss trusts me and believe in the good things that I can and will be able to do for the company. :)

4. AA Friends. It seems like not 10 years have passed when we saw each other last week. I now believe that good friends, high school classmates are really irreplaceable. :)

5. Mother Nature. It was not good that there was an earthquake, but at least it served as a warning and / or a wake-up call for some to start being nice to Earth.

5 Things I'm Thankful For #16

I am grateful. Thank you.

1. 6 years, and counting. It's been 72 months, and I'm thankful for everything that has happened between our first date to our last night's date. I know everything happened for a reason, good and bad.

2. X. For being the BEST boyfriend, for really being the BETTER half, and for being GOOD to me. :)

3. E for employer (or the name of my boss, or the name of the company). The past weeks have been so exciting and challenging for me, but I know I'll get the hang of it in the coming days. Looking forward to seeing you on Monday. :)

4. X, again. For helping me with my list. Crossing out SPIRALS! :)

5. February. It's over, but it seems like I am still hung over due to our last night's celebration. I just love it!

30 Things To Do Before 30 (as of 03.01.11)

It's the first day of March.

I've been meaning to update my list (delete a previous to-do, and add a few things, too) but I just didn't have the time to post a blog. Just in between my "thinking times", I need to squueze this in. Hehe.

• Apply new color to my hair (some close friends told me that my natural hair color is just perfect, so I plan to change this 1st item on my list) Apply washable color to my hair (fair enough?)
• Travel alone (where to? any suggestions?)
• Go to Singapore with X (booked for June 2011!)
• Cook a 6-course meal for X (soup, salad, main dish - meat & pasta, dessert)
• Exercise. Jog (I'm ready to go back to the gym anytime this week! Yey!)
• Try the famous buffet in Makati Shang, Circles or Spirals
• Go out of town with my cute sister
• Buy a whole outfit (dress, accessories, bag and a pair of shoes) in one day (DONE! Thanks to Stylebible)
• Plan a birthday surprise (I did a minor one yesterday)
• Get a promotion (Kinda DONE, although this is because of my new work)
• Get a raise (DONE!)
• Ride the Space Shuttle at Enchanted Kingdom (who wants to join me?)
• Go back to Boracay (DONE - January)
• Go to Puerto Galera (with X, J and G) (DONE -- Feb 12-13)
• Try Tamilok in Palawan (I won't be able to this unless I go back to Palawan before my 30th. Too bad)
• Learn how to clean the bathroom
• Attend a High School reunion (DONE -- Feb 6, 2011) 
• Reconnect with S or D (Done, with D. But no follow-ups. I don't think there'll be one soon)
• Write down at least 100 "5 Things I'm Thankful For" (I did 15 already)
• Buy a designer bag (let me add: OR receive a designer bag as a gift) (FINE! A replica will do)
• Take a 1-week leave from work (DONE. Nov 30 to Dec 6!)
• Have a my-favorite-movies-marathon for a whole day (My Best Friend's Wedding, Up Close & Personal, Clueless, Pay It Forward, Sound of Music, Annie)
• Buy a new phone (DONE. Unexpectedly the other day. It's cheap, no worries. Hahaha!)
• Save money enough for a down payment for a real estate property (I find this unattainable, maybe appropriate for my 35 Things To Do Before 35? Hahaha!)
• Sing ONE (I repeat, ONE!) song loud enough to be heard by X
• Learn how to cook Adobo and Sinigang
• Print at least 100 pictures from the past and make a scrapbook
• (censored. hahaha!)
• Surprise weekend get-away. I should drive.
• Win a prize from Cebu Pacific's in-flight (or is on-flight?) games. (I think this will happen during my 'travel alone' time)
• Go back to Baguio
• Say, _ _ _!

Love-Hate Relationships

Do you have a friend whom you love so dearly, and yet she seems not able to reciprocate?

Does reminiscing your school days make you sad because you've realized those are just memories from the past, and you start missing your friend?

Are you obliged to stalk a friend's FB account just to know what's happening to her because it's the only way you can find out?

Does it irk you that you care about this person so much, that you really get affected when she doesn't mind you?

Too bad, I have only one answer for all above questions. YES. :(

It saddens me thinking about this friend. I just realized I'm starting to hate her now, right at this moment. She doesn't even care. I'm starting to hate her, but I know I can't. No matter what happens, she'll still be my friend. When the time comes that she realizes she needs me, I'll still be there. I know that.

I do not want to be too sentimental about this, but it really breaks my heart thinking about this. I guess it really is heart-breaking to know that you have lost or about to lose a friend.

What is more heart-breaking is not knowing why. A slap in the face or a string of harsh words might hurt, but I would prefer that than the torturing silent treatment you have shown me all these times.

Sorry for the early morning rants, I just can't help it. :(
