It's my 2nd day at work. Something I'm thankful for and happy about.
I'm overwhelmed with the responsibilities and tasks assigned to me, but at the same time challenged on what I'll be doing in the next few days, weeks, and months.
I'm excited to take on a bigger responsibility and a more difficult task.
Well, so much for that. It deserves a blog entry of its own. :)
Here are the thing's I'm thankful for (so far)
1. New job. Bigger responsibilities. Warm welcome (lunch treat!).
2. Officemates turned Friends. (Hopefully, most of them. Hahaha!)
3. Prizes! Woohoo! I won in OpenRice.com and Stylebible.
4. X and J, for joining us in Galera. We know it's the last place you want to go to, but you still went, for us. :)
5. Today. Just want to be thankful for another great day.
It's the 16th already, few days to go before my birthday. :)
How's Wednesday treating you? I hope you're having a great time like me.
My Life. My Love. My Stories. My Success. My Happiness. My Favorite Things. My Friends. My Family. My Work. Myself.

I Want A Fairy Tale Life
I was browsing through my Multiply, and found this blog entry.
Sentimental me, reposting this here in my blog.
i watched "A Very Special Love" yesterday with my sister. Others may find watching this movie BADUY but I totally disagree. I love these movies. This got me thinking to why i love watching these movies over and over (thanks to cinema one). I tried recalling the movies I've been watching since TV cables have been introduced to our house.
Now That I Have You. Kailangan Kita. Kung Ako Na Lang Sana. My Big Love. You Got Me. Minsan Minahal Kita. One More Chance. A Love Story. When Love Begins. Madrasta. Forever. Kasal Kasali Kasalo.. Sakal Sakali Saklolo. Don't Give Up On Us. Close To You. Dreamboy. All My Life.
The list could go on but i really wouldn't want a super long blog.
You may have noticed that these are mostly STAR CINEMA films, not that I'm biased with ABS-CBN or anything, but I really love their movies. Their actors & actresses are also magaling umarte. Well, lahat talaga ng movies here, Star Cinema lang because I only watch tagalog movies if it's under Star Cinema. :)
Now back to why I started this blog. Why do I love watching these films?
Maybe it is because somehow I can relate to the characters. May it be the inaapi-aping bida or the bitchy-turned-good bida. I get kilig when their leading men give flowers, delivers the right lines at the right time, surprises them on their birthdays, or simply stares at her (and the look seems to mean: I want you). I get teary-eyed (ok, I admit I cry sometimes) when the girls gets their heart broken, catches their man with someone else, or is being left alone. I always get happy when the movie's about to end and the lead roles patch things up, gets back together, and lives happily ever after.
These movies just makes me feel good. Wishing that every girl I know can have a life these movie characters have, minus the pang-aapi & heartbreaks. Maybe I'm just a hopeless romantic. Can't help being otherwise.
I'm not sure if you find my blog interesting. I just felt writing something. It seems I can't express my feelings right now. Maybe that's the real reason why I'm writing this. :(

On Lips Balms, Glosses.
Can a girl have too much lip balms and glosses?
While I was looking for my Carmex this morning, I kept on picking up other lip stuffs from my bag. I checked my bag and my kikay kit to see how many I currently have. This image does not even include what I have in my dresser, though. (I think I have 2 to 3 more at home).
Is this too much?
I think this is the reason why I never (and I really mean, NEVER!) finish off a tube or pot of lip balm or gloss is because I just have a lot at the same time. I just throw a pot when it tends to be too greasy or sticky on my lips.
Is this bad?
The two Covergirl lipsticks are the newest addition to my lip care kit. I won these from Mrs. Martinez Raves & Rants. I rarely use lipsticks because I haven’t found the most moisturizing type yet. For me, lipsticks seem to look and feel dry most of the time. I’m just not a fan.
Do I have enough already?
I can’t seem to stop myself from buying more lip glosses. I just love the feel of it on my lips. I love the colors to choose from. I even love the scents of some. I'm actually thinking of buying this pa.
I can live without face powder, blush-on and mascara. You just can’t take these lip balms and glosses from me. Hahaha!
How about you, which make-up can’t you live without? I’d love to know if we share something in common. J
The Last Few Days
I’m now counting the days.
Last week, one of my closest friend at work (oh, even outside work) wittingly said: “Para kang teleserye ah, huling dalawang linggo na lang. Hahaha!”
To which I replied with: “I know! Kaya abangan ang mga kapana-panabik na eksena. Marami pang surprises, katatawanan at exciting na pangyayari sa mga huling araw ko. Hahaha!”
I can laugh about my resignation, about me leaving the company, now. But I know that when the idea sinks in, I’ll also be saddened (a bit). Some of my soon-to-be former colleagues have become my friends in my almost two-year-stay here in the company.
I will surely miss the funny anecdotes, heart-breaking stories, embarrassing moments, 90’s commercial jingles, GTWM Podcasts, breakfast meals, lots of Shakey’s Pizza & Mojos, Amber’s Spaghetti & Pichi-Pichi, Buddy’s Pancit Lucban, the birthday 'surprises', lunch treats, lunch extortion, Tolits' Math Skills, Kit's old age, Leah&Ems bully-ness, Turs' "Buendia na ko", Kat's lovelife, Von's escapades, Mahir's kakulitan and a lot more that we have shared over the past years.
Despite the closeness of our group, I am still eager to leave. Not only to take on and grab a bigger opportunity, but also to let go of the stress, negativity and other not-so-good things I have been experiencing these past few months. J
What are your thoughts about leaving your colleagues-turned-friends? About leaving the company you’ve worked with? About moving to a new work environment?
I am quite excited and scared. I am also happy and sad at the same time. But honestly, I feel so relieved that I will be leaving and moving on.
I’d like to end this with another conversation with a fellow resignee (is there such a term? Hahaha!). This just shows how relieved and happy we both feel. Hahaha!
Our colleagues / friends just stared at us with a hint of jealousy. Hahaha! J

5 Things I'm Thankful For #14
Last (last) week was one hell heaven of a week for me. A lot has happened, some were major changes and other were just fun. J
I am just so grateful.
- A new job. I was overwhelmed with my offer, and couldn’t ask for more. To my future company, thank you for giving me this opportunity.
- For the many prizes. Thanks to Mrs. Martinez Raves & Rants for her generosity. A welcome addition to my 2-year-old kikay kit. :P
- My loving friends. For the moral support. (And for the financial support in the future. Hahaha!)
- X. For spending a steady and relaxing trip to Boracay. Are we too old na to party? Hahaha!
- My (still) current company. For the months (years) I’ve
overworked with, I appreciate the trust, confidence and opportunity you have given me.
How about you, anyone / anything you're thankful for? Go ahead, and thank them. :)
Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

It's February!
This is my month!
Bag from Gold Dot |
Aside from the chaotic and romantic Valentine's Day, this is my birth month.
Love these heels from Gold Dot! |
Waking up on a February morning excites me.
I continue day-dreaming on what will happen on my birthday.
Flats from Suelas |
This year, things will be different. I will be celebrating my birthday with my new work. It will be my 7th day at work to be exact.
Dress from Amour |
My friends know that I love surprises, I love birthdays, I love cakes, I love celebrations, I love preparing for birthdays. (Can I scratch these? I think I may have mentioned all these in a previous post na?).
So, I'm quite excited (and nervous at the same time) on how my day will go on my birthday. I will be celebrating my birthday with my new colleagues. They may not even know it's my birthday, unless our HR has a thing for birthdays. I hope, I just hope, I really hope that they celebrate birthdays. :)
Floral Peeptoe from Miss D |
P.S. Images are part of my birthday wish list. (In case you're wondering. hahaha!)
